2022 WESTGATE STYLE NFL SUPERCONTEST
INTRODUCTION:
Welcome to the 11th Annual Westgate Style NFL SuperContest. Our goal is to mimic the Las Vegas Tournament, with similar rules and deadlines. Our online contest has grown in popularity since inception and with the pandemic hopefully behind us, we plan to continue the tradition of a top notch handicapping tournament.
This contest is not sanctioned by the RX or SBR Forums. They assume no liability for any financial disputes or rules interpretations and they will not be compensating anyone for services rendered. Contestants are playing at their own risk, but rest assured, you will be part of a professionally, well run contest. Contest runs for 18 weeks. CFB entry fee will be boosted slightly. Higher fee but larger pot. That's a good thing.
Livin the Family Life! (LTFL) will take in the entry fees to start off, with Willie99 slated to join the team around Aug 1.
SETUP:
The season long non-refundable NFL Contest entry fee is $250.00.
$225 is applied to the Contest Pool and $25 goes toward Administration costs.
Entries paid by Check or Money Order accepted until Thursday, Sept 1, 2022.
Entries using Pay*Pal, Zelle, Venmo or Cash App accepted until Sat, Sept 10, 2022.
ALL payments must be received by Sat, Sept. 10, 2022 @ 3:45pm ET.
Entries must be submitted before making selections for Week 1.
Each contestant will sign up using his RX User Name ONLY. (No Team names)
You may enter either contest offered (NFL and CFB) or both.
Max three (3) entries per contest per poster.
Actual cash prizes will be based on total number of entries.
Breakdown will be posted on or around Tues, Sept 13, 2022.
RULES:
This Contest is based on picking winning teams against the spread.
Contestants must select five (5) teams per week. (Sides Only)
Contestants may not select both sides of the same game. Any violation results in a double loss. Any duplicate selections will be graded as automatic losses. First selection graded normally. Once your selections have been submitted, they cannot be altered in any way. No changes.
All Contest Lines listed in the drop-down menu are playable, even if the game goes OTB (Off the Board) at a later date unless the game is canceled.
Contest winners will be determined by the total number of points accumulated during the NFL Football regular season. Each winning selection will be credited with 1 point. Ties (pushes) count as ½ point.
Contestants must submit their weekly selections by 4pm Eastern time each Saturday afternoon. If a contestant uses any game that is scheduled to start before the Saturday 4pm deadline (Wed, Thur or early Sat game), their 5 weekly selections must be submitted in full prior to the start of those early games. Any pick set using an early game that is submitted late will be charged with losses for those games that start before the deadline. Any contestant who fails to submit weekly selections by 4:00:59 pm Eastern time on Saturday will receive 0 points for that week. This time deadline will be strictly enforced.
Weekly lines will be posted each Wednesday night by 8pm ET (we will use LV Westgate Lines).
You MUST have an RX User Name and have at least 25 Posts to Enter, and 50 by Contest end. If you do NOT have at least 25 posts when signing up, DO NOT ENTER, as your payment will be returned.
If you don't have 50+ posts, by Week 18 ... and you cash, 10% will be deducted from your winnings. Reason being, this contest, along with the CFB Contest were put together for the posters of the RX. It's not fair for the RX posters that come here weekly.
TIE BREAKERS:
Tie-breaking rules will be applied to determine first place only. Entries tying for second through 10th place, will equally split aggregate prize money from the respective place. If ties exist after the NFL Football regular season for first place, the champion will be determined based on the entry that accumulated the most contest points during the final three weeks of the regular season. If total points accumulated during the final three weeks is equal most points accumulated during the fourth to the final week will determine the winner, and so on weekly (in reverse order), until the tie is broken. In the unlikely occurrence of a tie after all tie-breakers, co-champions will be declared and the aggregate prize money will be split equally.
Distribution of winnings will start ASAP after contest ends, as everything is double checked to assure there are no mistakes.
* A Google Form will be provided to make your Weekly Picks. They will appear on the accompanying Spreadsheet, with picks released after the 4pm Saturday deadline.

This Contest is a Post-Up contest with an Entry fee of $250.00.

* If you are entering this contest as well as the other LVH Style Contest being offered, you may pay in a lump sum: (NFL - $250, CFB - $125).
Record to beat is 141 entries with a prize pool of over $28,000 back in 2016.
Last year we had 99 entries with Avocado33 taking home the title.
